Bios
Lluís Esquerda is 26 years old developer from Barcelona in love with python and javascript. Since he started his Computer Engineering degree he has been working in a wide range from design studios to startups. His main interests right now are ethics regarding software projects, real time information, open data, and improving how people and companies share and use data in the cities of the future. He is currently finishing his thesis and financing his project developing free software at blue systems (http://blue-systems.com/).
Mr. Tommi Kainulainen is currently an entrepreneur and the CEO of Observis Oy. Mr. Kainulainen has graduated as Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Tampere University of Technology. During his 18 years of working life Mr. Kainulainen has gained deep business experience in the areas of environmental and safety monitoring and management. Mr. Kainulainen has strong experience of international marketing, business development and project management. References include multimillion projects in several countries in Pacific Asia, Middle East and Europe. During the past 10 years he has also been working as safety and environmental consultant around the world. He has been invited to lecture in several international symposiums and congresses. In 2010 together with two other experts, Mr. Kainulainen established Observis Oy which is a company providing web based information and knowledge services. Among its service portfolio, the company has created a unique smart city concept including a wide range of interactive mobile and digital community services.
