Open Source Drug Discovery
Description
Mat Todd (University of Sydney) describes the principles of how open science in action can deliver solutions for safe and effective treatment of neglected tropical diseases. Mat headed up a project to improve synthesis of the major drug against the tropical parsite schistomaniasis, involving extensive collaboration between academia and industry. Mat is a leader in the Synaptic Leap community for open source biomedical research.
