Theme for PixelACHE 2004 is Audiovisual architecture, exploring public space and innovative interfaces to audiovisual media. This year’s exhibition features interactive furniture, games, media art and experimental architecture. PixelACHE Audiovisual Clubs present collaborations between sound and visual artists from Finland, Sweden, UK, France, Germany and Australia.
Landscape sampling features performances and installations which use sounds and images of urban space as their source material. Locative media workshop brings together an international group of artists, writers and researchers. The participants will spend a week in Helsinki, exploring forms of social communication and organisation with mobile technologies.
