Dr Rob Stone is the author of many articles concerning the poetics of sound which bear on such diverse matters as the place of musical figures in the writing of history, the aurality of translation and the making of social space. His chief interest is in the relationships between sound and the built environment and he is currently completing a book called "Auditions: Architecture and Aurality".
