finder ( Chris Coleman & George Cicci )

Finder is a collaboration between sound designer George Cicci, and video artist / sculptor Chris Coleman. While their early works were either visuals for Cicci's soundscapes, or sound tracks for Coleman's videos, Finder marks the full on collaboration between the two towards one end.

Finder will do an audiovisual performance at SHARE event on Sunday and their Collusion installation is shown at Gershwin gallery:

Collusion consists of a full wall projection of industrial expulsions that have been time-manipulated so that the vents seem to be sucking in the smoke in rhythmic breaths. Large volumes of smoke are drawn from the sky and then small amounts released in a continous cycle. The sounds of machinery quickly take on a natural cadence that compels the viewer to breath with the factory. Just when all smoke seems to have been withdrawn, more materializes from the sky in a never ending deluge. With the constant hope of an end the viewer unconsciously adds their breath to the effort of controlling their surroundings.
