Michael Heap (UK)
Michael Heap is one off, the true definition of a renaissance man,
after giving up molecular biology to peruse an arts career, specifically
in visual arts installation, he has achieved much for his young age. Having
his first festival performance before the age of 18, he has a keen interest
in non linear narrative story telling, radio art, music concrete &
all things that are electronic. This keenly places him for his current
lifestyle choice that of a VJ, under paid, over worked, he thoroughly
loves it.
With performances with the likes of Neil Speeks (transglobalunderground),
Bigchill, and Radio one, as well as festival organization,
and lectures given at the CCCB in Barcelona as well as making films on
samba bands he likes to keep his finger in every pie. He keeps his head
to the ground and doesn't let his head get too big with the two collectives
he works closely with - Raya
and SoxaN. He is
also a Director of VJs.net.
