SAT[mix_sessions] (Montréal)
Vj-ing used to be a support for the music, reflecting the producers' desire
to spice up evenings and events but VJ-ing evolved and became a unique
art form, practiced by artists from very diverse fields. Promoting VJ-ing
as an art is SAT[mix_sessions]'s main mandate, exploring the limits
of the practice as well as possible interaction between digital images
and electronic music. New platforms and mediums of creation, new contexts
of representation, new set-ups equal new practices and new aesthetics.
SAT[mix_sessions] invades pikseliÄHKY Club @ Mother!!!
The SAT[mix_sessions] gang will mix and stir their sources and energy
to bring that special 'Montreal touch' to Helsinki reflecting the fantastic
vitality of the Montreal VJ scene. They will also share their screens
with other VJs to spice it up to the limit of this visual and sonic extravaganza
along with Mad Max, Johan Skugge and Brothomstates!
