Nuutti Koskinen
Nuutti lives and works in Helsinki as a graphic designer. Some three years
ago, while still living in Turku, he got interested in video & animation
production. Since then he's been VJing at Koneisto festivals, Mr Velcro Fastener tours and
various parties. With Sanna Isotalo he produced the audiovisual Korento
pavillion for Koneisto 2001. In summer 2002 he participated in the ArtGenda biennale in
Hamburg with an interactive installation and video screenings.
On his VJ gigs he's been mixing pre-made video loops of his own making. They
combine organic material with waste and electronic kitsch, utilising various
methods of still animation, video cameras and a trusty old microfilm viewer.
Lately Nuutti has been more occupied by traditional graphic design projects,
but plans to produce more video material in the future, aiming to research the
possibilities of midi synchronisation and installations.
