L'homme superflu (The
Superfluous Man) Vincent
Morisset
In spring 2002, twelve Québec directors of the video-collective KINO
were invited to the Festival of Festivals of St-Petersburg to present
Kino-Kabarets. The films were written, shot, edited and presented in a
single day. L'homme superflu was done that way. Improvised and shaped
by the mood of the moment.
Vincent Morisset started scratching 8mm film strips in 1994. Since
then, he experimented animation with different techniques (photocopy art,
chocolate molding, computerized water colors, ChromaDepth 3D, stop-motion
puppets and so on). Vincent programmed the application 1000 to control
traditionnally animated stop-motion characters in real-time. He's also
co-founder of BonGolem and an active member of the video-collective,
KINO. He lives in Montreal.
